Name: Laura M. Castro
Bio: I was born in Madrid, Spain in 1980 and moved to Galicia, located in the north west coast of the country, when I was in my teens. I went to high school in Santiago de Compostela and attended college in A Coruña, where I now live and work. I have also lived for short periods of time in the US (Houston, Texas) and Sweden (Göteborg).
I am a postdoc researcher and assistant lecturer at the University of A Coruña, where I have been teaching since 2005. At the moment, I am in charge of teaching Software Architecture and Software Validation to 3rd and 4th year undegrads.
I also perform research in the areas of software testing (automated, model and property-based testing), applied to software in general, and distributed, concurrent, functional systems in particular. I am a member of the MADS (Models and Applications of Distributed Systems) research group.
